DIRECTIONS TO TEMPLE TIFERETH ISRAEL539 SALEM STREET

Location:
Temple Tifereth Israel is located in Malden at 539 Salem St at the intersection
of Salem Street and Branch Street halfway between Malden Center and Route
1. It is across the street from the Salemwood School which is located
in what used to be Roosevelt Park. You will still find Roosevelt Park
on many maps (including those online) instead of Salemwood School.

FROM THE TOBIN BRIDGE (ROUTE 1 NORTH) Cross the Tobin Bridge and stay on Route 1 until you come to the Route 60 exit (Malden/Revere). Take the exit and stay left, which will put you on a rotary. Follow the rotary halfway around, exiting onto Route 60 West, toward Malden. This is well signed. Follow Route 60 West through 3 stop lights. The third light will be Lynn Street; there is a Fleet Bank on the opposite left corner. Take a left, which is the continuation of Route 60. Take an immediate (0.1 miles) right onto Eastern Avenue, which is still Route 60. Follow Eastern Avenue (Route 60) through 3 stop lights (1 mile). The third light will be Maplewood Street; there is a Papa Ginošs on the right corner. Take a right. Take your first left onto Waite Street Extension. Follow this to the end. The Temple will be on your right. There is a parking lot for the Temple just before the end of Waite Street Extension. Park in any of the spaces. Or, you may take a right at the end of Waite Street Extension and park on either side of that street (Branch Avenue). The entrance to the Temple is on Branch. If starting from the west, take Storrow Drive east to the end. Follow signs for Tobin Bridge, Route 1 North. Follow directions from the Tobin Bridge, above. If starting from the south, get onto the Central Artery (I-93 North) and take exit for Tobin Bridge, Route 1 North. Follow directions from the Tobin Bridge, above. Take the Mass. Pike to the Storrow Drive exit, toward Cambridge. Take your first right onto Storrow Drive east. Follow signs for Tobin Bridge, Route 1 North. Follow directions from the Tobin Bridge, above. OR, take the Mass. Pike to the Central Artery exit (I-93 North). Take exit for Tobin Bridge, Route 1 North. Follow directions from the Tobin Bridge, above. OR, take the Mass. Pike through the Williams Tunnel to the end, where it will join Route 1A North. Follow 1A until Route 60 West splits off (toward Malden and Route 1). Follow Route 60 West to the second rotary, which is the entrance for Route 1. Stay on 60 West. Follow directions from Tobin Bridge, above. OR, take 128 (I-95) North to I-93 South. Follow directions from the Northwest. Take the Southeast Expressway to the Central Artery (I-93 North). Take the exit for the Tobin Bridge, Route 1 North. Follow the directions from Boston/Brookline, above.
Take Route 1 south to the Route 99 exit. Follow Route 99 into Malden. Take a right onto Salem Street. Go to the second light. Take a left onto Branch Avenue. The Temple is at the corner of Salem and Branch, with the entrance on Branch. Park on either side of the street or in the parking lot at the bottom of the hill. Take Route 128 (I-95) north to I-93 South. Take the Route 60 exit. Follow the rotary around until you are on Route 60 east. Follow Route 60 into Malden. The road will widen from 2 to 4 lanes in Malden Center, then narrow back to 2 lanes. Go 0.75 miles after the road narrows until you come to a stop light at Maplewood Avenue. There will be a Papa Ginošs on the opposite left corner. Take a left onto Maplewood. Take your first left onto Waite Street Extension. Follow this to the end. The Temple will be on your right. There is a parking lot for the Temple just before the end of Waite Street Extension. Park in any of the spaces. Or, you may take a right at the end of Waite Street Extension and park on either side of that street (Branch Avenue). The entrance to the Temple is on Branch. |
