Education Program Goals

It is our intent to foster and deepen the Jewish experience and knowledge for all students in order to strengthen their faith in God, love of Torah, and identification with the Jewish people through involvement in the temple and participation in Jewish life. We believe that Judaism contains answers to the challenges and questions that daily confront us as Jews, and that only with a knowledge of Judaism can Jews successfully discover those answers. Our school provides programming that embraces experience and learning activities, and encourages children, young people and adults to become active parts of the Jewish community. It is our goal to enable students who complete our religious school to:
  • Connect and transfer what they learn at school to their homes and lives
  • build a strong, positive Jewish identity
  • know their heritage and history
  • Feel a strong connection and commitment to Israel, the spiritual home of the Jewish people
  • understand the concepts behind and the celebrations of the Jewish holidays
  • have a solid understanding of Torah and Bible
  • understand and feel a commitment to Jewish ethics and values
  • be able to participate fully in a Reform Jewish service
A Note to Parents, Our Educational Partners

To accomplish the goals of our religious school, we need you to be our vocal partners. The children are a Jewish community's most precious possession. While we strive to do the best we can in the short time we have with them each week, we often wish we could achieve more. [full note]

Jewish children with special needs

Thanks to the Gordon Family Special Needs Fund, Jewish children with special needs now have the opportunity to attend religious school at TTI.

Some of our teachers and staff have experience and special training in working with children with special needs and TTI now has the opportunity to:

  • Provide assistance and aides to work 1:1 with children with special needs
  • Provide special equipment to enable learning using alternative teaching methods
  • Provide behavioral consultation to the classroom
  • Individualize the TTI curriculum and teaching style to your child’s needs
